Karen J. (Willits) Sindlinger, 82, passed away at her home in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.
Per the family’s wishes, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Karen J. (Willits) Sindlinger was born on Oct. 17, 1939, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Florence (Svoboda) Willits. On Aug. 7, 1979, Karen married the love of her life William Sindlinger in California. She lived and worked in the Cedar Rapids area for many years. She enjoyed sewing and quilting after her retirement.
Those left to cherish Karen’s memory are her husband, William Sindlinger; her children, Paulette (Bruce) Kmetz, of Hiawatha, Iowa, Randy Benesh of Marion, Iowa, Ron (Mary) Benesh of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Tami Connor of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Deb Benesh of Coralville, Iowa; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Charles Willits.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at St. Luke’s Hospice for all the care and love they showed Karen, while she was in their care.
