3-year-old suffers gunshot injuries at Coralville apartment
Child was in critical condition Sunday night
CORALVILLE — A Coralville 3-year-old was critically injured Sunday after suffering gunshot injuries at an apartment.
At 12:19 p.m. Sunday, Coralville police were dispatched to an apartment in the Boston Way Apartment Complex for a report of a child with gunshot wounds.
Emergency personnel transported the child via ambulance to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, where the child was in critical condition.
The circumstances leading up to and immediately following the incident are being investigated by the Coralville Police Department and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, according to a news release.
