Kem Thomas David, 64, of Fremont, Calif., passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife and daughters on June 20, 2022.
Kem grew up in Spencer, Neb., and Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He graduated from Washington High School in 1976. As a young adult Kem made his way out to the Bay Area where he met his wife, Renee (Tanner). Kem loved living the family life – spending time with his wife, kids, grandsons, and their family dogs. Kem was described by so many as a kind and good man, he enjoyed the beautifully simple things life had to offer - day trips around the bay, singing to the radio, going out for a beer, home projects, laughing and reminiscing over his past time.
Kem was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Donald E. David and Inez J. David; as well as many aunts and uncles, and his family dogs Rufus and Harley.
Kem is survived by his wife of 37 years, Renee David; daughters, Suzanne David-Lider and Kelsey David; son-in-law, Patrick Lider; grandsons, Landon and Bryce; brother, Donald David Jr.; and many loving nieces, nephews, in-laws and extended family. Kem was a loving husband, father, and friend to everyone he met.
Memorial services will be held at St. James Episcopal Church, 37051 Cabrillo Terrace, Fremont, Calif., on Thursday, July 7 at 2 p.m.
