David L. Kearney, 57, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, formerly of Center Point, Iowa, died Monday, June 27, 2022, at his home. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 2, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Center Point.
David was born Oct. 1, 1964, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Freda (Frozene) and Robert Kearney Sr. He attended Center Point-Urbana High School and went on to graduate from Kirkwood Community College. David loved to spend his time hunting, fishing, having meaningful conversations, and spending time with his family. In his younger years, he enjoyed mud running and camping.
Survivors include his son, Mitchell Kearney (Madison Kula-Casper); wife, Shareen Kearney; brothers, Robert (Denise) Kearney Jr. and Kevin (Deb) Kearney; and many nieces, nephew and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Freda and Robert Kearney Sr.; and sister, Karen Jo Kearney.
