Catherine Ann Jones, 59, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Friday, June 24, 2022. A visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 1, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids. A memorial service will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 2, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Linwood Cemetery in Cedar Rapids.
Cathy was born Feb. 5, 1963, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Daniel and Betty (Kaiser) Ryan. She graduated from Kennedy High School. Cathy was united in marriage to Alan Jones on Oct. 25, 1990, in Cedar Rapids. She worked at Corrflex Chesapeake in Iowa City. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandkids. Cathy had a very good heart and would do anything for others.
Survivors include her mother, Betty Ryan; children, Echo (Alfredo) Angeles and Brittany Jones, all of Cedar Rapids; 10 grandchildren; stepdaughters, Kandis Gerlach, Felicia (Jeremiah) Rollberg and Tina Webster; siblings, Colleen Ryan, Nancy Ryan, Daniel (Jenny) Ryan and Joe Ryan; and many extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her father, Daniel Ryan; and husband, Alan Jones, in 2010.
