Gerald “Jerry” Koepp, 83, of Iowa City, passed away on June 10, 2022, at The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 14, at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service, 605 Kirkwood Ave., Iowa City, where visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will be at The Oxford Cemetery followed by a luncheon at The Eagles Club in Iowa City.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to The American Kidney Fund or the Iowa Donor Network. The service will be livestreamed on Zoom. The link will be posted on the Tribute Wall under Jerry’s obituary at www.lensingfuneral.com.
Jerry Koepp was born on Jan. 30, 1939, in Camanche, Iowa. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1957 until 1963. Jerry began his career in 1963 working in the UIHC Urology Department inpatient ward. After earning certification as an O.R. Tech, he transferred to the urology clinic, where he was honored by the UIHC for his 35 years of service as an operating room technician.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ruth Koepp; two children, Jeffrey (Maxine) Koepp and Tina (Pat) Pacha; four grandchildren, Stephanie Koepp (Cyrus Roat), Megan Koepp, Katelyn Pacha and Kelsey Pacha; and a sister, Sally (Ray) Ceynar.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, George and Jeanette Koepp.
