Former resident of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, John Kenneth "Kenny" Williams went to be with the Lord on Jan. 10, 2022, at age 63. He lost his battle with cancer and gained eternity with Christ!
Kenny was born on Dec. 9, 1958, to Everett Ray and Elma Lee (Butts) Williams, who both preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were his life partner, Marcia; four brothers, Paul, Gale, David and Leroy; and four sisters, Rilla Fulwider, Kyra Williams, Karen Bremer and Deanna (Dee) Miller.
Kenny is survived by his children, Charissa and Jesse; six grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Also by one brother, Thomas Dwaine; and five sisters, Karma Peters, Brenda Williams, Ruby LaRee Dains, Lydia Murray and Teresa (Tracy) Williams.
His family will have a celebration of his life at
11 a.m. June 25, 2022, at Elk Prairie Church in Nason, Ill., followed by dinner in the fellowship hall of the church. A small service in his honor will be led by Pastor/cousin Bill Degenhart. There will be no graveside service.
