Sarah L. Rammelsberg, 66, of Coppell, Texas, formerly of Atkins, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 28, 2022, at Vitas Hospice in Carrollton, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30, a.m. Wednesday, June 8, at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church in Atkins, with the Rev. Douglas Woltemath officiating. Interment will be held at St. Stephen’s Cemetery in Atkins. Visitation will be held from 9 to 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, also at the church. A memorial service will be livestreamed from Sarah’s Church in Texas at orlc.online.church on Wednesday afternoon, beginning at 3 p.m.
Sarah was born on July 25, 1955, in Cedar Rapids, to Harold and Kathleen (Kahler) Rammelsberg. She graduated from Benton Community High School, with the class of 1973. She later graduated from Wartburg College.
Her career included work as a lab tech at Ottumwa Regional Health Center, prior to moving to Texas to take a position with Abbott Diagnostics. She was a master production scheduler with Abbott until her retirement.
Sarah was active in Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Irving, Texas, where she had many friends. She also enjoyed traveling. Sarah loved her family very much, especially her nephews and great-nieces.
She is survived by her brother, Brian (Jeanne) Rammelsberg of Atkins; three nephews, Daniel (Melissa) Rammelsberg, Michael Rammelsberg and Matthew (Callie) Rammelsberg; and her special great-nieces, Madison, Mirabeth and Emersyn.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her grandparents.
