Heart of Iowa Democrats kick off Pride Month series June 1
Discussion will feature Democratic elected officials, candidates

The Heart of Iowa Democrats will kick off Pride Month with a forum on Equality for All: the LGBTQ+ community and Iowa politics. It will be part of the 1st Wednesday Speaker Series at 7 p.m. June 1.
Panelists include state Rep. Liz Bennett, D-Cedar Rapids; Keenan Crow, One Iowa director of policy and advocacy; Hiawatha City Council member Aime Wichtendahl; and Iowa House 91 candidate Elle Wyant. Iowa Senate Minority Leader Zach Wahls, D-Coralville, will moderate.
This free event will take place via Zoom and is open to the public. Advance registration required at heartofiowadems.com/register.
The 1st Wednesday Speaker Series is hosted by Heart of Iowa Democrats of Benton, Iowa, Marshall, Poweshiek and Tama counties.
