Donna L Rowe, 73, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2022, at Oldorf Hospice House in Hiawatha. Per Donna's, wishes there will be no services.
Survivors include her daughter, Sheila Frickson of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Andrea (Eric) Tremain and Casey Hansohn, along with eight great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Ed (Su) Hazelton, Al (Brenda) Hazelton, Karen (Mike) Hazelton, Karla (Phil) Mellinger and Brian (Lorri) Hazelton; and many nieces and nephews.
Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Gary; and her parents.
Donna (Hazelton) Rowe was born March 4, 1949, to Wayne and Margaret Hazelton in Washington, Iowa. She graduated from Mid Prairie High School. Donna worked at IPS and Timberline. She married Gary Rowe on Nov. 11, 1993, in Iowa City. After retirement, she enjoyed quilting, crafting, her dog Elvis, and spending time with family. She lived her life by her motto, "I choose to be happy."
Donna will forever be remembered as a loving and kind wife, mother, grammy and friend, whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the family.
