Trish Metsala, 70, died Sunday, May 1, 2022. The family will greet friends from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, May
7, at Lensing Oak Hill Funeral Service, 210 Holiday Rd., Coralville. Graveside committal will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Cemetery. A reception will follow the graveside committal. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Trish Metsala Memorial Fund.
Trish was born Nov. 6, 1951, in Iowa City, the daughter of Leonard and Eleanor (Pelzer) McLachlan. Trish was a 1969 graduate of City High School and had attended the University of Iowa. On Dec. 13, 1985, Trish married Ron Metsala.
Trish and Ron lived in Denver, Colo., for over 35 years, where Trish worked in banking. Following Ron's death in 2018, Trish returned to Coralville.
Trish loved Colorado and the beauty of the mountains. She enjoyed time spent creating beautiful art with stained glass and was an avid Denver Bronco, Colorado Avalanche and Iowa Hawkeye fan.
Trish is survived by her son, Nick Frasher of Anamosa; her granddaughter, Kyra Frasher; her sister, Phyllis (Larry) Steele of Coralville; her great-aunt, Kristin Osterkamp of Anamosa; and nephews, Chad (Alice) Steele, Brian (Tiffany) Steele and Adam (Beth) Steele.
Trish was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ron, in 2018; and her nephew, Cory Steele.
