Our beloved Carolyn Belitz, 86, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, April 28, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City surrounded by her loving family.
Carolyn was born on Dec. 7, 1935, to Herbert and Anna (Stolte) Hensch in Bennett, Iowa. A member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bennett, Iowa, from an early age, Carolyn participated in many activities at the church. Her faith was strong and carried her to her heavenly home.
Carolyn is survived by her husband of 65 years, Ronald Belitz; brother, Howard (Jo) Hensch; children, Beverly Tripp, Brenda Vacek, Brian Belitz, Bryce (Mary) Belitz and Bradley (Naoko) Belitz; 16 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday, May 2, 2022, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Tipton, Iowa. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 11 a.m. Burial will follow lunch at Inland Cemetery, Bennett, Iowa.
