2022 Iowa high school track and field postseason assignments are released
State qualifying meets are May 12

The Iowa High School Athletic Association and the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union released assignments for track and field state qualifiers.
All meets are scheduled for Thursday, May 12.
Methods of qualification:
Class 4A: Top 2 finishers in each event from each site, plus 12 at-large berths in each event statewide, based on time/distance.
Class 3A: Top 2 finishers in each event from each site, plus 8 at-large berths in each event statewide, based on time/distance.
Class 2A: Top 2 finishers in each event from each site, plus 8 at-large berths in each event statewide, based on time/distance.
Class 1A: Winner in each event from each site, plus 14 at-large berths in each event statewide, based on time/distance.
The state meet is May 19-21 at Drake Stadium, Des Moines.
