Timothy Ray Osborn, 75,
of Mystic, formerly of Ely, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at Veterans Hospital in Des Moines. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, April 24, 2022, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling St. SW. Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 25, 2022, at Rogers Grove Cemetery near Ely, where full military rites will be conducted.
Timothy was born Feb. 2, 1947, in Marshalltown, the son of Edward and Fannie (Webrand) Osborn. He graduated from Solon High School, and later attended Kirkwood College. Following, he served in the United States Army from 1966-1968. Tim was united in marriage to Cheryl Meskimen on Sept. 7, 1968, until her passing in 2003. Tim worked as a painter at FMC Linkbelt and Goss Manufacturing. Tim was later united in marriage to Marcia Reid on June 24, 2006. For many years he owned and operated Osborn Manufacturing. Tim was later united in marriage to Marsha Reid in 2006. He enjoyed tinkering with tractors and equipment, fishing, traveling to the Isle Minnesota – Mille Lacs Lake area in the summers, and the time spent outdoors.
Tim is survived by his wife, Marcia; his daughter, Shelly (Shawn) Ecklor of Haverhill; his stepdaughter, Allison (Ryan) Haack of Iowa City; his siblings, Ed Osborn of Cedar Rapids, Bob Osborn of Missouri, Dorothy Murray of Cedar Rapids, Bill Osborn of Ely and Debbie Dunmore of Cedar Rapids; as well as his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Cheryl; his son, Curtis Osborn; his sisters-in-law, Sharon Osborn and Kathy Osborn; and a brother-in-law, Mark Dunmore.
