North Liberty
Joy C. Eagle-Brumley, 88, of North Liberty, Iowa, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, died Sunday, April 17, 2022, peacefully at UnityPoint-St Luke's Hospice surrounded by her family. Per Joy's request, a private burial and memorial service will be held at a later date.
Survivors include her children, Deb (Kevin) Graham, Sharon Kay Eagle, Cathie (Bill) Brendel, Joni (Kevin) Manternach and Nicole (Jeff) Gunhus; stepchildren, Monica (Mike) Reardon and Troy Brumley; 16 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Rob Eagle; and infant children, Ruth Ann Eagle, Timothy Allan Eagle and Mary Josephine Eagle.
Memorials may be directed to UnityPoint-St. Luke's Hospice or the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital, where Joy volunteered rocking babies.
The family would like to extend a special thank-you to the staff at UnityPoint-St Luke's Hospice for their loving care of Joy.
