Deciphering the GOP’s plan for Iowa

What is the real Republican plan for Iowa? I can only decipher from the outside. Steve Moshier of the NAACP made a presentation at an Interfaith Alliance meeting on April 1 about the effect of legislation on the right to vote in Iowa. What is the purpose of making it more difficult to vote? It seems Republicans want to assure they can stay in office. After all, they already control the three branches of government in Iowa. Put the voting restrictions together with the tax reform promoted by Gov. Kim Reynolds, who claims that a flat tax is fair, and would be attractive to people considering moving to Iowa. The only people attracted would be those who vote Republican. On the other side of things, why is the state forcing park rangers to move out of parks, by refusing to fix their homes? Also, the state is preparing to help finance kids going to non-public schools by using tax money. How does this attract people to Iowa? Third, the state has refused to fund efforts to assure clean water. How does contaminated water attract people to Iowa?
To sum up, it appears the Republicans want to attract only wealthy people who could travel anywhere, but neglect the basic needs of people who want a good place to live. I could be wrong. If so, let those who approve Reynolds and Republican legislature stand up and defend their actions, in contrast to stated goals. Explain it to me, and others.
