Ronald Oscar Johnson, 87, of Iowa City, passed away on Friday, April 15, 2022, at the Iowa Veteran's Home in Marshalltown. Per Ronald's request, he was cremated and there will be no services.
Ronald was born on Sept. 5, 1934, to Willard and Lena (McLaughlin) Johnson in Cosgrove, Iowa.
Ronald served his country in the Army and was an independent man who loved to fish.
He is survived by his sons, Jerry (Karen) of Stanwood and Joel (Laura) of Raleigh, N.C.; daughters, Lori Johnson of Cedar Rapids and Lisa Petersen of Kalona; and 10 grandchildren.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister.
