Emily Elizabeth Leonard, 22, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Saturday, April 2, 2022. Private family services will be held. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids assisted the family.
Emily was born on May 10, 1999, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of John Leonard and Colleen Riley. Emily was a young woman whose life was cut short. She looked like her mother. Emily was a beautiful woman with a beautiful heart. She will be missed by all and those who knew her will miss her dearly. Emily loved flowers, creek stomping, rap and rock music. She loved animals and she liked to make others laugh.
Survivors include her mother, Colleen Riley (Alden Houston); father, John Leonard; siblings, Mitchell Leonard, Nathan Stant and Linzie Stant (Josh Watson); grandmother, Dixie Jean Riley; aunts, Jill Goddard (Greg) and Jennie Leonard; uncle, Mike Riley (Sara); many cousins; and family friends, Annie Edgeton, Sarah Duffy and Jamie Gharib.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Michael James Riley and Janice and Jim Leonard; and aunt, Karleen Simons.
