Zachary Douglas, 41, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Monday, April 11, 2022. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 14, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids. Memorial service: 10 a.m. Friday, April 15, at the funeral home.
Zach was born Jan. 1, 1981, in Tucson, Ariz., the son of Joseph Douglas and Joy (Henderson) Klaassen. He graduated from Linn-Mar High School in 1999 and received an AA degree at Kirkwood Community College. Zach was united in marriage to Adrienne Elliff in Anamosa, Iowa, on July 7, 2019. He will be remembered as being the life of the party. Zach was an artist, a DJ, a gamer and an influencer. He enjoyed watching '80s movies and cartoons. Zach loved his wife, his family and his toy collecting community. He will be dearly missed.
Survivors include his loving wife, Adrienne Douglas; parents, Joseph (Pamela) Douglas and Joy (Daniel) Klaassen; siblings, Susie Douglas, Andrew (Casie) Douglas, and step-sister, Abby (Caprice) Ashcroft; nephews, Korbyn and Kellan Douglas and Seth Klaassen; niece, Mrynn McDonnell; and his beloved cats, Goo Bear and Navi.
Zach was preceded in death by his granddad, Gene Henderson.
