Jeffrey "Jeff" S. Walder, 71, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away at ProMedica/Manor Care Nursing Home in Cedar Rapids on Saturday, April 9, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. A visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Jeff was born on Sept. 1, 1950, in Cedar Rapids. He is the son of Geraldine Walder and the late Ronald Walder. In his younger years, Jeff was a nationally ranked gymnast. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, racing, cross country skiing and woodworking. He was a carpenter by trade and owned his own contracting business, in Milwaukee, Wis.
Those left to cherish Jeff's memory are his mother, Geraldine of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and siblings, Vicki (Rich) Lyle of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Paul (Tracy) Walder of Toddville, Iowa, Laura (Thomas) Walder Anderer of Port St. Lucie, Fla., and Sandie (Denny) Ketelsen, of Toddville, Iowa.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
