Calling out Grassley on SCOTUS nomination

So Sen. Chuck Grassley voted against the confirmation of Ketanji Brown Jackson, with the claim that she’s “soft on crime.” This from a man who voted not to impeach Donald Trump for trying to overthrow our democracy. Grassley knew from the beginning that he wouldn’t vote for her, in spite of her stellar qualifications. Because playing the game to foster a false narrative is more important.
I’m calling you out, senator, for lying to the voters of Iowa. It wouldn’t have mattered if Brown’s judicial record was an exact parallel of Amy Coney Barrett. What did matter was that Brown is President Joe Biden’s nominee, and by voting against her, your aim is to contribute to the utter falsehood that Joe Biden is bad for America, a narrative critical to an upcoming election cycle. This is also evidenced by your continual posting of interviews conducted on the propaganda network of Fox News.
After 42 long years, Grassley is no longer able to honestly serve the public. But we have extremely qualified candidates running for his seat. I would hope that the majority of Iowans understand that another vote for Grassley is a vote against their own future. Because Iowans deserve better.
