DEBRA J. PHELPS ZENNER

Debra Jean Phelps Zenner was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She passed away on April 4, 2022, at the age of 66, in her hometown of Cedar Rapids. Her battle with CREST syndrome and other medical issues in recent years showed her courage and determination to stay strong to the very end.
Deb is survived by her husband, Joseph; children, Jennifer Northness (Jeffrey) and Matthew Zenner (Amanda); mother, Patricia Phelps; two brothers, David Phelps (Una) and Dale Phelps (Mary); and several nieces and nephews. She was a proud Grandma to six beautiful grandchildren, Cameron, Samuel, Mason, Lilly, Graham and Theron.
The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Deb. She was never found without a Pepsi in hand. She loved spending the day out fishing on the boat, camping with family and gambling at the casinos. She loved spending time at home with her friends and family and her two rambunctious dogs Mollie and Juniper.
There will be no services, but a Celebration of Life will be held for family and friends from 1 to 4 p.m. April 24, at Prairie Oak Lodge, Wanatee Park, Marion, Iowa.
