MAXINE "KITTY" SIEBELS
Houston, Texas
Maxine "Kitty" Henrietta Siebels, 99, took her last breath March 31, 2022, in Houston, Texas, in the care of her beloved daughter-in-law Diane.
Kitty was warm, big-hearted and always so much fun. She had a keen sense of humor, earned the hard way as the only sister to six boisterous younger brothers. Those boys adored her and, as adults, loved visiting Kitty and her family in Texas.
Jan. 16, 1923, she was born on a farm near Olin, Iowa, to Carl and Clara Ketelsen. She grew up in Jones County and graduated from Anamosa High School.
Kitty married Bob Siebels, with whom she shared an unbreakable lifetime bond. They lived in Monticello, Bellevue and finally in Houston. Kitty enjoyed a career as a nurse in a family practice.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; sons, Rob (Diane), Doug and Jeff (Deborah); brothers, Hank, Don, Cliff, Fred and Galen; and sisters-in-law, Peggy and Bettymae.
She is survived by her brother, Steve; grandchildren, Lisa, Eric, Austin and Zachary; seven great-grandchildren; daughters-in-law, Diane and Deborah; sisters-in-law, Corinnie, Marna Gaye and Marsha; and many nieces and nephews, whose lives she touched.
Private inurnment, Houston National Cemetery.
