Ronald L. Herrick, 68, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2022,
at West Ridge Care Center in Cedar Rapids. There will be a Celebration of Life at Lake McBride's Main Lodge on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2022. The time will be announced closer to the event.
Ron is survived by his wife of 24 years, Beth; son, James (Irene) Herrick; two daughters, Joanna Gallo and Lisa (Adam) Chmielewski; a brother, Don (Ladene) Herrick; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Corinne; his younger brother, Dick; and son-in-law, John Gallo.
Ron was born May 27, 1953, to Melvin and Corinne Herrick in Sigourney, Iowa. He graduated from Jefferson High School in 1971. Ron retired form Cryovac/Sealed Air in Cedar Rapids, after 46 years of employment. Ron enjoyed fishing/ice fishing, riding his Harley, woodworking and grilling/smoking. He was a man who always spoke his mind and said what everyone was thinking. Ron was highly respected by those who knew him and will be deeply missed.
