Reader appreciates the daily Insight page

Our times are fraught with conflict: The Gazette’s editorial page showcases the range of opinions we Iowans have about it all. Recently, two Gazette readers levied personal criticism at The Gazette’s editorial page editor, Todd Dorman.
Dorman also writes columns for the paper, and the readers did not approve of his opinions. One used the word ‘hateful.’
Just gotta say — that I am grateful for Dorman’s skilled hand editing the Insight page.
Dorman publishes letters to the editors I do not always agree with, and he won’t (can’t?) ditch that nasty Mallard cartoon, but he’s the only opinion editor I know who is neutral enough to print unwarranted personal attacks on himself.
Maintaining the Insight page’s balance must be like walking a daily tightrope.
Keep up the good work, Mr. Dorman!
