Verna Mae Schmidt Parham, 90, died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids, after a brief illness. Visitation for Verna will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 9, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Anamosa, where a remembrance service will start at 1 p.m. A private family interment will take place at the Wyoming Cemetery. Pastor Rodney Bluml will officiate at the services. Goettsch Funeral, Anamosa, has taken Verna and her family into their care. Verna is survived by her son, Mike (Kathy) Schmidt of Springville, Iowa; and her son-in-law, Ken Sickels of Marion, Iowa.
