Sandra A. Lief, 75, of Wyoming, Iowa, passed away Monday, March 28, 2022, at Grandview Health Care, Oelwein, Iowa. Private graveside committal services will be held on Friday, April 1, at Rosedale Cemetery, Cambridge, Ill. There will be no visitation. Stackhouse-Moore Funeral & Cremation Services, Cambridge, is assisting the family with the arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Sandra Lief Memorial Fund.
Sandra Ann Dettmann was born Feb. 12, 1947, in Rock Island, the daughter of Howard R. and Lillian P. Russell Dettmann. She was educated in Rock Island area schools and graduated from Rock Island High School in 1965. Her marriage to Chester F. Lief Jr. took place on May 13, 1967, in Rock Island, Ill. He passed away on Nov. 8, 2020.
The couple lived in Rock Island and Milan for a short time and then moved to Wyoming, Iowa. Sandra was a homemaker and also worked at Doer Electric in Anamosa for several years. In her early years, she enjoyed bowling, ceramics and attending garage sales.
Those surviving are her daughter, Tina (Coy) Wagner, Wyoming, Iowa; a son, Chester (Tammy Huinker) Franklin Lief, III, Oxford Junction, Iowa; grandchildren, Chelsae Wagner, Kelby (Daniel) Billingsley and Sierra Lief; and two great-grandchildren, Emberlie and June. Other survivors include stepgrandchildren, Jaylon, Emma and Rylan Gerdes; sisters, Diana Koester, Donna Dettmann and Carol Williams; and a brother, Howard Dettmann.
Her parents and her husband preceded her in death.
