Hy-Vee changes Aisles Online sites in Cedar Rapids

West Des Moines-based retailer Hy-Vee has adjusted the number of locations that will service its Aisles Online orders, effective today.

“Our Aisles Online grocery services in Cedar Rapids will be served from our Oakland Road, Wilson Avenue, and Edgewood Road Hy-Vee locations. That’s where pick up will be available proceeding forward,“ Tina Potthoff, senior vice president of communications, wrote in an email to The Gazette.

“Those who place orders via Aisles Online delivery should see no disruptions.”

Hy-Vee CEO Randy Edeker, in a video message to employees, said 88 percent of Aisles Online business was occurring at 117 of its stores, according to a report by KCCI TV last week. The retailer has some 280 venues.

In addition, in the past week Hy-Vee has cut 121 corporate-level positions, with 102 of those employees offered retail positions at its stores, the chain confirmed to several news outlets.

The chain did not respond to a request by The Gazette for comment on the job reductions or further details on the Aisles Online changes.
