Almost Famous buys Sac City popcorn operations
Noble Popcorn does business as Cedar Creek Popcorn
Family-owned Almost Famous Popcorn has acquired Noble Popcorn in Sac City.
Almost Famous operates a production facility in Cedar Rapids and retail venues in Cedar Rapids’ NewBo District and in Des Moines’ East Village.
The Sac City-based Lines family bought Noble Popcorn in 1986 and expanded from the sale of raw popcorn kernels to ready-to-eat gourmet popcorn, Almost Famous said in a news release.
Noble Popcorn does business as Cedar Creek Popcorn.
“This acquisition will allow us to scale and will increase our ability to share delicious, gourmet popcorn across the state of Iowa,” Sydney Rieckhoff, CEO and co-owner of Almost Famous said in the release.
