Judy Maree Jahnke, 79, of Lisbon, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 19, 2022, in her home. A Celebration of Life will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 2, at the Solon American Legion. Judy was born Sept. 5, 1942, in Iowa City, the daughter of Danny and Maree (Gross) Coblentz. She graduated from University High School in Iowa City. Following, she attended Mercy Hospital School of Nursing from 1960-1963. Judy was a nurse for over 40 years in the emergency room at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. She was united in marriage to Daniel Jahnke on Jan. 15, 1972. Judy was always up for an adventure. She enjoyed traveling, dinner and movies with friends, and most importantly, spending time with her loving family, especially the grandchildren.
Judy is survived by her children, Jayme (Tim) Moore of Lisbon, John (Simona) Jahnke of Clermont, Fla., Ronnie Jahnke of North Liberty, Bud (Mary Jane) Jahnke of Solon and Jane (Tom) Drews of Iowa City; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Rita Honn of Brooklyn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Daniel; and her grandson, Daniel Drews.
