Transgender girls’ sports ban is not a Christian value

I prefer to keep church and state separate. But Gov. Kim Reynolds’ splashy signing of the transgender girls sports ban led me to an interesting thought.
Iowa’s GOP legislators freely talk about traditional Christian values. When Jesus spent his time on earth, was he more concerned about helping the poor, the oppressed, and the outcasts? Or was he more concerned about making sure athletic competitions were “fair?”
