James "Jim" Whetstine, 79, of Iowa City, died on Saturday, Feb. 12, 2022, at the Bird House-Hospice Home of Johnson County, surrounded by family.
An informal gathering to celebrate Jim's life will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday March 11, at The Kirkwood Room at Governors Ridge, 515 Kirkwood Ave., Iowa City. Casual attire is encouraged. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed toward The Bird House-Hospice Home of Johnson County or to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
