Kathy McMurray, 67, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away March 2, 2022, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, March 7, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 8, at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. A celebration of Kathy's life will be held immediately after burial at Nick's Bar & Grill at 4958 Johnson Ave. NW, in Cedar Rapids.

Kathy was born March 19, 1954, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Robert and Bernice (Huggons) Clarke. She graduated from Washington High School. She was united in marriage to Vern McMurray on Oct. 3, 1997. Kathy worked for Trim All for 34 years as a seamstress until her retirement in 2008. She loved to go gambling, watch game shows, and adored Elvis Presley. Above all else, she loved to spend time with her grandchildren. Kathy will be missed by those who loved her.

Survivors include her husband, Vern McMurray of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; son, Michael (Christine) McMurray; grandchildren, Chase and Raegan McMurray, all of Hiawatha, Iowa; brothers, Harold (Barb) Clarke of Marion, Iowa and Robert (Glena) Clarke of Davenport, Iowa.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Bernice Clarke; siblings, Roberta Gorsh, Helen Marsh and Randy Clarke; mother-in-law, Mary Wirth; and brothers-in-law, Jim and Jack McMurray.
