Giving back to the Linn-Mar district
Bob Anderson, Linn-Mar candidate
Sep. 2, 2017 5:00 am
As a Linn-Mar school board member I hope to bring thoughtful, fiscally responsible, and student-centered decisions to our school district. I recently retired after 41 years of public school teaching in Iowa, with the last 22 at Linn-Mar High School. My wife, Jill, and I have one son, Matthew, who attended Linn-Mar, graduating in 2015. The quality of life for our family has been immeasurably influenced by the Linn-Mar Community School District, and we owe the district greatly.
Thus, the reason I am running for the Linn-Mar school board. I want to give back to the school district that so enriched our lives. I want to be a part of governing the continued development of this community that is Linn-Mar. While at the high school I managed one of the largest and most comprehensive vocal music programs in Iowa. With those skills and my background in education, I can offer the Board a perspective to assure all Linn-Mar children the highest level, and most innovative education available. With my experience being around school budgets I will work to assure that taxpayers money will be spent wisely for the betterment of our students.
My challenge to voters of the Linn-Mar School District is to be sure that you vote in this critical election on September 12!
