Families Helping Families of Iowa holding foster/adoptive resource fair

CEDAR RAPIDS — Families Helping Families of Iowa (FHF) is hosting its first-ever Foster/Adoptive Parent Resource Fair on Saturday, March 26. The Resource Fair will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Grant Wood AEA, 4401 Sixth St. SW, Cedar Rapids.

“We often hear that foster families have a difficult time finding resources after children are placed in their home. We decided to host this event to share more about how we can help and bring in other organizations that can help as well,” said Melissa Carlson, Executive Director of Families Helping Families of Iowa.

FHF also is looking for organizations to join the event that also can serve as a resource for current or prospective foster and adoptive families. There is no vendor fee and tables and chairs are provided. For more information, please contact Carlson at melissac@fhfia.org or (319) 294-9706.
