Patricia "Pat" Ward Mikulas, 81, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Monday, Feb. 14, 2022, at Heritage Specialty Care in Cedar Rapids. Memorial service: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, with visitation to begin at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
Pat was born Oct. 16, 1940, in Orange, N.J., the daughter of Bertrand and Elizabeth (Devine) Ward. She graduated from Bishop Alemany High School in Mission Hills, Calif., and went on to San Fernando Valley State College to earn her B.A. in accounting. On Aug. 27, 1966, Pat was united in marriage to Kenneth Mikulas in Sylmar, Calif. She worked at the Sheraton Hotel for 27 years until her retirement in 2006. Pat was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and Catholic Daughters of America. She enjoyed being active in church leadership. Pat also enjoyed crocheting and was previously active with the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.
Survivors include her children, Susan (Dewayne) Kimble, Barry Mikulas and Beth Mikulas all of Cedar Rapids; and grandchildren, Elijah Kimble, Hailey (Jakob) Kimble, Lexi (Cameron) Mikulas, Jordan Kimble and Gabriella Kimble.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Bertrand and Elizabeth; husband, Kenneth; siblings, Martin (Eugeneé) Ward and Margaret (John) Montante; and niece, Kathleen Ward.
Memorials may be directed to St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
