1. Ohio State is 11-0 at home.
2. Iowa is coming off an 84-79 home loss to Michigan Thursday. Ohio State trailed Minnesota 25-23 at halftime Tuesday night in Columbus before winning, 70-45. It was the fewest points the Buckeyes had allowed in a Big Ten game in eight years.
3. Buckeye junior forward E.J. Liddell and Iowa sophomore forward Keegan Murray are on the Naismith Player of the Year midseason team. Liddell averages 19.9 points, 7.6 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.5 blocked shots per game. No other player in the nation has had numbers as high in all four categories since 2008.
4. OSU Coach Chris Holtmann said this after his team beat Michigan 68-56 in Ann Arbor on Feb. 15: “Will somebody please, somebody outside of the people who follow our program, start talking about E.J. as a player of the year in this league?”
5. The Buckeyes were ranked No. 4 when they lost at home to Iowa last Feb. 28, 73-57.
