Sheryl A. Taylor, 71, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2022, at Heritage Nursing and Rehab. Per Sheryl's wishes, there will be a Celebration of Life at a later date. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids assisted the family.
Sheryl was born Aug. 11, 1950, in Cedar Rapids, to John and Agnes (Knight) Moore. She dedicated her life to raising her children. Sheryl opened her arms to those in need, animals included. She was an amazing woman who will be missed dearly.
Sheryl is survived by her children, Paul Floyd (Shannon Gallaway) of Vinton, Iowa, Barbara (Tim) Slaughter of Cedar Rapids and Bruce Moore of Vinton; grandchildren, Winderia, Harley, Olivia and Heather Slaughter and Dakota John, Malaki, Sebastian, Zack, Sheryl, William and Dakota James Floyd; brothers, Keith Pettey and Kevin (Peggy) Pettey, all of Missouri; and three sisters, Barbie Pettey of Missouri, Sheila Goad, and Shawn Crippen, both of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Agnes Moore; partner, Michael Moore; and a son in infancy, Kenny Floyd.
