Luella B. Langhurst, 89, of Marion, Iowa, passed away at the Oldorf Hospice House on Sunday, Feb. 13, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.
A private family service will be held at the Cedar Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Luella was born on Sept. 30, 1932, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She was the daughter
of the late Roy and Bertha (Wheeler) Reid. On June 30, 1950, she married the love of her life, Edward Langhurst Jr., in Nashua, Iowa. Luella enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling and wintering in Florida.
Those left to cherish, Luella's memory are her children, Edward (Jeanne) Langhurst III of Marion, Iowa, Paul Langhurst of Bullhead City, Ariz., and Cheryl Allen of Rio Rancho, N.M.; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed; her parents; and her son-in-law, Clancy Allen.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Oldolf Hospice House.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at the Oldorf Hospice for all the love and support they showed Lu while she was in their care.
