IHSAA releases boys’ basketball postseason brackets in Class 3A, 4A
Top substate seeds include Marion, Washington (Iowa), Cedar Rapids Kennedy and Cedar Rapids Prairie

CEDAR RAPIDS — The Iowa High School Athletic Association released official brackets for Class 3A and 4A boys’ basketball substates Wednesday.
They can be accessed here. Substate openers are Feb. 21, with semifinals Feb. 24 and finals Feb. 28.
Top-ranked Decorah is the top seed in 3A Substate 2 and will play a first-round game at home against Crestwood. The second seed in the substate is Clear Lake.
The substate final is scheduled to be played at Aplington-Parkersburg High School.
In 3A-3, Dubuque Wahlert is the top seed. Others in the substate include Anamosa, West Delaware, Maquoketa, Western Dubuque and Independence.
Washington (Iowa), ranked third, is the No. 1 seed in 3A-4. Cedar Rapids Xavier is the third seed, hosting Benton Community in the first round. DeWitt Central is the No. 2 seed. The site of both substate finals has yet to be determined.
Sixth-ranked Marion got the nod as the top seed in 3A-5, hosting Keokuk in the first round. Seventh-ranked Fort Madison and Clear Creek Amana are the second and third seeds, with the substate final at Muscatine.
In Class 4A, Substate 4’s top two seeds are third-ranked Cedar Rapids Kennedy and Cedar Rapids Washington, in that order. They receive first-round byes.
Linn-Mar hosts North Scott in a 4A-4 first-round game, with Iowa City Liberty hosting Davenport Central.
Second-ranked Pleasant Valley is the top seed in 4A-5, with No. 10 Iowa City West the second seed. Cedar Rapids Prairie is the top seed in 4A-6.
None of those substate finals have an assigned site, yet.
