Six facts:
1. Iowa hasn’t played since its 90-86 double-overtime loss at Penn State Monday. Minnesota’s last game was an 88-73 home loss to Purdue Wednesday.
2. The Hawkeyes have lost their last two games. They haven’t dropped three consecutive Big Ten games since they lost the last four in the 2018-19 season. Minnesota lost its last three games.
3. Iowa defeated Minnesota 81-71 in Minneapolis on Jan. 16. The Hawkeyes opened a 23-point lead, had it cut all the way to 74-71 with 1:30 left, then finished the game off with a 7-0 run. Keegan Murray had 25 points and 10 rebounds for Iowa.
4. The Gophers played Iowa without starting power forward Eric Curry (ankle injury) and rotation player Sean Sutherlin. Both are back. Sophomore forward Jamison Battle leads Minnesota in scoring with 17.8 points per game.
5. Iowa is third in the nation and Minnesota fourth in fewest turnovers per game.
6. The Hawkeyes have beaten the Gophers the last four times they have met at Carver, with the last three by an average of 16.3 points.
