Freedom isn’t free, but where are the solutions?

On Jan. 27 guest columnist, Nicholas Johnson, (“’Freedom’ is not free. Others are paying for it”) poses a question of who pays for losses caused by freedom, specifically, losses caused by the unvaccinated, but he offers no solution. Why, maybe he doesn’t have one, or maybe he simply likes to ask rhetorical questions. Here’s his conclusion: “Solutions? Start by acknowledging their “freedom” isn’t free. Others are paying for it.”
I have a few questions for him.
1. Who thinks freedom is free? We all should know many fought and died for our freedom.
2. Who pays for the losses caused by all the riots and looting that accompanied “peaceful protests” largely ignored by major media and sanctioned by a few liberal politicians?
3. Who pays for losses of those who lose their homes to hurricanes and wildfires, then rebuild in the same area, knowing they are subsidized by everyone who avoids those risks?
I could go on with many more examples of careless actions going unchecked with no consequences. Here’s my conclusion: a critic posing problems unaccompanied by possible solutions is the least valuable person in the room.
