Biloxi, Miss.
Carl O. Blake, 62, of Biloxi, Miss., passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Jan. 27, 2022, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids. A memorial service for Carl will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 6, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion, Iowa, where family will greet friends and family one hour prior.
Carl was born on Jan. 4, 1960, in Okinawa, Japan, the son of Vanor and
Mary (Hale) Blake Sr. Carl was united in marriage to Lisa Ann Husser in Maui, Hawaii. Carl worked as a cable splicer for telecommunications for over 40 years, most recently for Telcom Construction. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, fishing and riding his motorcycle. Gone but not forgotten, Carl will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Carl is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife, Lisa Blake of Biloxi; daughter, Terra (Kevin) Moreau of Louisiana; grandson, Jack Farrell of Dade, Fla.; mother, Mary (Cas) Albrycht of Biloxi; sister, Linda (Bart) White of Alabaster, Ala.; brother, Vanor (Debbie) Blake Jr., of Chattanooga, Tenn.; and adopted son, Aaron Harman of Marion.
He was preceded in death by his father, Vanor Blake Sr.
