Mildred D. Krogh, 93, of Lone Tree, died Saturday, Jan. 22. 2022, at the Solon Retirement Center. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 28, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Iowa City. (Casual dress and warm clothing encouraged). A reception time will be held following the services at the church allowing for a time of fellowship and sharing among family and friends. Burial will be held at the Lone Tree Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Mildred's memory to Hospice or Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. Mildred Darlene Blum was born Jan. 23, 1928, in Wellman, the daughter of John and Sadie (Schulty) Blum. Growing up on the farm, she worked doing the chores of milking cows and gathering eggs. In her youth, she worked at Riefs Department Store in Kalona. Mildred met her future husband, Paul A. Krogh, in 1947 with the couple getting married on Jan. 20, 1950, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Wellman.
Mildred was an active member of the church, serving as financial secretary and teaching Sunday school. She had worked at Ross Dry Goods in Lone Tree. Mildred had always enjoyed camping and fishing, especially with family mainly her grandkids! She enjoyed cooking for family and friends and watching the cooking network for new recipes.
Her family includes her children: son, Paul Jr. Krogh (Denise), and daughter, Deb Duder (Jerry); grandchildren, JP Krogh (Heather), Amy Brentlinger (Rush), Tanya Peer, Mike Duder (Amy) and Michelle Duder; great-grandchildren, Zack Lumbus, Max Krogh, Noah Brentlinger, Molly Krogh and Will Brentlinger.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul; two sisters, Laura Chez and Dorothy Teets; and one brother, John Blum.
