Jatavias Cooper, 18, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Friday, Dec. 31, 2021, in Mississippi.
Jatavias was born Dec. 31, 2003, in Chicago, Ill., the son of Andrea Cooper and Eric Wright. He was a handyman who enjoyed doing odd jobs with his uncle.
Survivors include his parents, Andrea Cooper and Eric Wright; and his siblings, Eric, Mariah, Maria, Aaliyah and Khloe Wright, and Sharay Walter.
A visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2022, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
