SHIRLEY ANN ELIZABETH TURNBULL

Shirley Ann Elizabeth Turnbull, 84, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Monday, Jan. 17, 2022, at St. Luke's Hospital. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19, at Cedar Memorial Chapel Stateroom. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 20, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories with burial following the service.
Shirley was born June 5, 1937, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to George and Bessie (McNabb) Convey. She graduated from Roosevelt High School. She met Kenneth Turnbull and they married on June 24, 1968. She worked many years for St. Luke's Hospital.
She enjoyed reading, watching crime dramas, WWE Wrestling, and cheering on the Los Angeles Lakers with her daughter, Sharon. She cherished the time she spent with her family.
Shirley is survived by her loving daughters, Sharon (Dewayne) Wilson, Kathy Mischek and Peggy (Ron) Turnis; stepdaughter, Ruth Wilson; grandchildren, Stephanie Anderson, Matthew Chesmore and Kayla Turnis; and siblings, Bill and Jim Convey.
She iwa preceded in death by her loving husband, Kenneth Turnbull; daughter, Janet Mischek; and her brother, Larry Convey.
The family would like to thank the Rehabilitation Center of Lisbon, UnityPoint staff and Hospice Unit for the love and care given to Shirley.
