Iowa City BSA Scouts Troop 250 collecting used scout uniforms
Jan. 18, 2022 6:00 am
IOWA CITY — Scouts BSA Troop 250 of Iowa City is collecting gently used scout uniforms and monetary donations for its Uniform Library.
The Uniform Library allows Troop 250 scouts to take and use its contents as needed, much like the little free libraries. The idea is to make scouting affordable to everyone and live the helpful and thrifty Scout Law characteristics. When scouts outgrow their uniforms, they may be donated back to the library. Specific needs are Scouts BSA tan shirts, green pants, belts, socks and patches.
Monetary donations also are being accepted to purchase uniforms from thrift shops. Checks should be made payable to Scouts BSA Troop 250 with Uniform Library in the memo line.
Once ready, the Uniform Library’s inventory will be made available to Troop 250 scouts through the organization’s website. Donations will be accepted ongoing.
For more information, or to coordinate a donation, contact Michelle Moore at (913) 558-8726.
