Gregg Dean Gongwer passed away on Jan. 3, 2022, at his home in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, at the age of 69. After high school, Gregg ran two successful businesses, Gongwer Tree Service and Gregg Dee Gongwer Tree Service.
Gregg enjoyed traveling and his passion was attending the Lumberjack Championships in Hayward, Wis. Surviving Gregg are brothers, John (Pat) Park of Arizona and Gary Gongwer of Texas; his significant other, Dee De Haven of Oelwein; and many nieces and nephews.
