Cheryl Lynn "Sherry" Williamson, 76, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died on Friday, Jan. 14, 2022, at her home. A private family graveside service will be held at Linwood Cemetery in Cedar Rapids. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, assisted the family.
Sherry was born Jan. 23, 1945, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Robert G. Sr. and Helen V. (Koutnik) Hewitt. She graduated from Jefferson High School. Sherry was united in marriage to Benjamin Williamson at Palisades Kepler State Park in Mount Vernon, Iowa. She worked at Linkbelt, Collins Radio and retired from Square D. Sherry was a member of St. Ludmila Catholic Church. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her son, Michael J. Shefelbine; daughter-in-law, Pamela Shefelbine; and granddaughter, Cutter Shefelbine, all of Central City, Iowa; siblings, Mark (Peggy) Hewitt and Debbie (Jeff) Merrell, all of Cedar Rapids; stepchildren, Michelle (Kevin) Johnston, Melinda (David) Glade, Rose (Gary) Eagleson, Karen (Laird) Jones, Tom Williamson, Bruce (Lori) Williamson and Mary Nollen; stepgrandchildren, Jennifer, Haley, Adrianne, Jeanne, Kassi, Erin, Rachel, Kenny, Sara, Stephanie, Jessica, Ben, Becka, Issiac, Sam and Maggie; many step-great- and step-great-great-grandchildren.
Sherry was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Williamson; mother, Helen V. Hewitt; father, Robert G. Hewitt Sr.; and brother, Robert G. Hewitt Jr.
