Ruby G. Myles, 76, of Cedar Rapids, died Jan. 8, 2022, at Mercy Medical Center. Homegoing Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling St. SW. Private family inurnment will be at a later date in Memphis, Tenn.
Ruby was born Jan. 30, 1945, in Coldwater, Miss., the daughter of Anna Beatrice Brown. She was united in marriage to Joe Myles. Ruby Myles was a stylish person with a bold sense of fashion. She loved to sew and designed her own clothing and stunning church hats. Her stylish personality matched her elegant manners, self-respect, class, big heart and etiquette. She loved spending time with family, attending church, and collecting family pictures to add to her memory wall. Most importantly, she Loved serving the Lord.
Ruby is survived by her children, Mearling (David) Myles-Penland of Marion and Joseph Myles of Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren, Chaveta Myles, Devin Myles, Demarco Curd, Artourious Wilson-Myles and Phoenix Myles; and seven great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Zayshon, Demari, Tayvion, Semiyah, Elijah, and one on the way.
She was preceded in death by her mother and her husband, Joe.
